Hartelijk dank voor uw medewerking aan dit project dat, zoals u waarschijnlijk wel weet, alle woorden in alle talen voor iedereen vrij en online toegankelijk wil maken. Uw bijdragen daaraan zien we met grote belangstelling tegemoet. Het Nederlandstalige WikiWoordenboek is een door iedereen vrij te bewerken woordenboek dat inmiddels 902.352 artikelen telt. Gun uzelf even tijd voor de tips in dit venster en begin daarna pas met het bewerken van uw eerste artikelen. Géén van die richtlijnen heeft kracht van wet, want WikiWoordenboek is en blijft natuurlijk vóór alles steeds vrij bewerkbaar. Iedere gebruiker heeft zo'n pagina. Wilt u een bericht voor iemand anders achterlaten, dan doet u dat dus op zijn of haar overlegpagina. Sluit uw bijdragen altijd af met vier tildes, dus zo: ~~~~. Een druk op de handtekeningknop heeft hetzelfde effect: uw bericht wordt automatisch ondertekend met uw gebruikersnaam en de datum en tijd waarop u uw boodschap voltooide. Working language

Dear Pratyya Ghosh,

We like your willingness to make contributions to this project, whether they are automated or not. I hope you won't mind me presenting a few topics for your consideration.

The working language on WikiWoordenboek (nl.wiktionary) is for obvious reasons Dutch. We are quite willing and used to accommodate users who don't speak Dutch to contribute to this project. It is however not reasonable or acceptable to expect your fellow users on this project to understand instructions in other languages than Dutch. This is the first reason why I removed the information you put on top of this Talk page. The second reason is that using just an opening <div>-tag is not html5 compliant and using this trick generates a Lint error, which we have all but removed from this project. Increasing html5 compliancy is useful to insure that information will remain accessible and reusable in future and to facilitate the development of tools to support users.

As a practical solution I put a short message in Dutch on top of this page, pointing readers to your user page. I strongly suggest adding Babel boxes to that page, because that is the usual way to inform other users about the languages you understand. Your user page produced two minor Lint errors that were easy to solve without changing anything to the appearance of the page. You might want to add them in the versions you use on other wikis too, in order to improve html5 compliance.
