Is parkkonijn correct?

I could not find a Dutch term for the German word Gehege. Gehege is an area to hold animals in it, like a Tiergehege (special area for animals), Zoogehege (special area in a dierentuin), Wildgehege (special area for game). Another German word for Gehege sometimes is Garten. We can find it in the words Tiergarten or in Kindergarten. In Dutch these are dierentuin and peutertuin. Gehege stands for a protected area. The French word for Gehege is garenne. I believe the Dutch word for Gehege could be tuin. So the Gehegekaninchen had lived in a conijnentuin. Makes that sense in the Dutch language? -- Cadfaell

We sometimes use gaarde as in diergaarde=dierentuin, but it is very uncommon on its own. Park is more usual, as in English national park etc. Afrikaans uses tuin "die Kruger wildtuin", but in Dutch that sounds a little odd. For deer you kan use "kamp": hertenkamp. Jcwf 13 mei 2009 14:51 (CEST)
