Sardinian bewerken

I have heard you are a professional translator Italian. Nice. But I have a little question about Sardinian: we have a category Categorie:Woorden in het Sardisch, but on Ethnologue I have seen that Sardinian consists of four different languages spoken on Sardinia (Sassarese Sardinian, Campidanese Sardinian, Gallurese Sardinian, Logudorese Sardinian). I would like to divide the category in four categories, I have the four official codes of the languages. Good idea? I think it isn't, it likes me more correct on that way. Mmm, I have seen that there is also the "normal" Sardinian. I think it is completely correct if I make so four extra categories, there are five different languages. I have done it. But have you any comments? S.V.E.T. 11 nov 2004 22:11 (UTC)
I just sent you a longer message by e-mail - I prefer e-mail as I read it immediately - sometimes I am just not visiting all wiktionaries I am interested in. So for urgent things: just use e-mail. And Sardinian: is a very complex theme ... SabineCretella 12 nov 2004 08:21 (UTC)
Problems... I have just now problems with my e-mail account. I cannot receive e-mails for the moment. Was it very important? I can see the mail not yet. Can you explain it here, or on Overleg gebruiker:S.V.E.T.? Sorry and thanks for your understanding. S.V.E.T. 12 nov 2004 08:44 (UTC)
In short as I hope you'll receive the mail - and I don't remeber every single word. There are two currents in Sardinia:
1) there's one group that tries to build up a unified Sardinian language
2) and another group that would like to outline the differences creating 5 different sublanguages
Indeed there are those five different languages since these parts of Sardinia were under different influences - so words are quite different.
example - water: ábba, imbre, log.; àcua, camp.; eba, sass.; èa, gall.; algua, algh.; êgua, tabarch.; vena d’a.: cantaréddu, log. gall.; a. di bucato: lisciónu, gall.; a. marina salatissima: aqua fatta, camp.; piccolo corso d’a.: vadìna, gall.
so I would create
1) Sardinian (for words that are equal in any of those five sublanguages or where we don't know where to attribute a term (people who know can then adapt)
2)Sardinian-Nuorese
3)Sardinian-Gallurese
4)Sardinian-Sassarese
5)Sardinian-Logudorese
6)Sardinian-Campidanese
I can only speak for myself: I think that cultural diversity must be underlined - it is part of our culture and in a globalising world identity is very, very important.
I hope this helps.
Ciao! SabineCretella 12 nov 2004 09:41 (UTC)
OK, thanks also for the interesting comments. I have done it yet.
But I have seen on the new ISO-code list that only the Nuorese is not an official language. So I haven't got a language code, so I don't make a category yet. S.V.E.T. 12 nov 2004 09:53 (UTC)

Inactiviteit bewerken

Beste SabineCretella,
