• Hello, 'ivoor' is already listed as a translation for Elfenbein, so I don't really get your message. Please specify it more if you can. i won't answer in German because the question was asked in English. So, Elfenbein and ivoor do not mean "big facial bone of an elephant" neither in German nor in Dutch. Elfenbein and ivoor refer in the first sens to the material of which these teeth are made of; but they do not mean "elephant tooth"!
