as far as i understood, the translation is not quit right, --this word and most of the other words in arabic here-- , is an adjective , it means french , ie , its not the french language only , it might be a french lady or a french city ... etc. - De voorgaande niet ondertekende opmerking werd toegevoegd door 82.102.205.224 (overleg|bijdragen) op 13 dec 2004 23:40.
- It is also used as a noun to refer to the language. As this is the female form, my guess would be that لُغَة (language) is usually omitted, just like saying "French" when we mean "French language". --MarcoSwart (overleg) 21 apr 2021 12:14 (CEST)
